A Broken System in Need of Change
Oklahoma ranks near the bottom in national health outcomes — with high rates of chronic disease, obesity, diabetes, and mental health struggles. While our healthcare system is filled with brilliant practitioners, it often lacks connection, continuity, and accessibility. Too many patients fall through the cracks.
That’s where the Wellness Alliance: Truth in Health Association steps in.
What is the Wellness Alliance?
We’re a growing nonprofit network of holistic practitioners, educators, policy advocates, and community health champions. From naturopaths and massage therapists to herbalists, nutritionists, and chiropractors — we unite to bridge gaps between:
- Conventional care and holistic wellness
- Community needs and available resources
- Frustrated patients and empowered health education
Why It Matters in Oklahoma
In 2025, Oklahoma continues to face:
- A shortage of integrative care providers in rural areas
- A disconnect between mainstream medicine and preventative care
- Limited awareness of non-pharmaceutical healing modalities
Our Alliance brings together the people already doing the work — often in silos — to form a collaborative, visible, and empowered network across the state.
What We’re Building Together
The Wellness Alliance is more than just a group. It's a movement. Here’s how we’re making a difference:
✅ Monthly Networking Meetups that connect like-minded professionals
✅ Educational Events & Guest Speakers who inspire and inform
✅ Community Wellness Clinics offering accessible care and screenings
✅ Statewide Directories to make holistic providers easy to find
✅ Advocacy & Policy Engagement to influence meaningful change
Why Collaboration Over Competition Works
In today’s fast-paced health economy, it’s tempting to compete for clients or visibility. But the Wellness Alliance believes that when we lift each other up, we all win — and so do our communities.
- We share referrals.
- We host each other’s services.
- We co-create events and resources.
- We bring attention to underrepresented healing modalities.
Real-World Impact (Spotlight)
At a recent meeting, we hosted Senator Kristen Thompson to discuss Oklahoma’s health policy priorities. We heard from Shannon McCulloch of Heavenly Hands Spa, who shared how bodywork and energetic therapy can change lives. And we launched our new committee structure — giving every member a voice and a role.
This is what grassroots health transformation looks like.
