What Does “Regenerative Medicine” Really Mean?

Regenerative medicine is one of the most talked-about areas in health today—but the terminology can get confusing quickly.

Words like stem cells, stem cell activation, exosomes, peptides, and regenerative are sometimes used interchangeably in conversations and marketing, even though they do not necessarily describe the same thing.

At this month's Truth in Health Networking Breakfast, we're going beyond the buzzwords.

Join Chip Paul and Dr. Jim Lynch, with Cindy Paul moderating, for a focused educational conversation exploring regenerative medicine, the differences between these emerging categories, the science behind them, and the questions consumers and professionals should be asking.

Featured Panel Conversation

Chip Paul

Researcher, educator, Truth in Health Founding Member, and longtime advocate for health innovation and consumer education.

Dr. Jim Lynch

Physician and Truth in Health Founding Member bringing clinical perspective to the evolving conversation around regenerative medicine.

Moderated by Cindy Paul

Executive Director of Truth in Health Association.

What We'll Talk About

  • What regenerative medicine actually means
  • What exosomes and extracellular vesicles are
  • How peptides fit into the regenerative conversation
  • What people mean when they talk about stem-cell-based approaches
  • The difference between “stem cell activation” marketing and actual stem-cell-based interventions
  • Why exosomes, peptides, and stem cells should not be treated as interchangeable terms
  • Where research is developing
  • Important regulatory and safety considerations
  • Questions consumers and healthcare professionals should ask

The panel discussion will run approximately 20 minutes, followed by audience questions.

This Month's Networking Challenge

Sit with someone you don't know.

It's easy to walk into a room and sit beside the people we already know. This month, we're asking everyone to do something different.

Choose a seat next to someone new. Learn who they are, what they do, who they serve, and how you might be able to support or connect one another.

After the panel and Q&A, we'll give everyone an opportunity to briefly introduce themselves and continue networking.

Breakfast Is Sponsored!

A huge thank-you to Connie Williams of Time for Living Seminars for sponsoring this month's breakfast.

We'll be serving breakfast burritos, along with un-burrito options for our gluten-free friends.
